Central Alberta: bordered by the Canadian Rockies in the west, Southern Alberta and the Calgary Region to the south, Saskatchewan to the east and Northern Alberta to the north.

North Central Alberta : part of Northern Alberta to the north and west of the Edmonton Capital Region.

Southern Alberta: Southern Alberta borders Calgary to the east and south. The primary cities are Lethbridge and Medicine Hat but there are many smaller communities surrounding this area.
